How to Unlock Ys the Oath in Felghana Time Attack Mode

To have access to the Time Attack Mode, you must finish the game. That’s the only requirement. As soon as you complete the game and defeat the final boss, Time Attack Mode becomes available.

The difficulty of this Mode is based on the difficulty level on which you cleared the game. For example, when you clear the game on Hard, you can start a new Time Attack Mode session on Hard. So, work your way through the story on all difficulty levels to unlock this mode. Secret achievements require you to complete certain side quests on all six difficulty levels, giving you more incentives to experience the game on all difficulty options.

Ys the Oath in Felghana Time Attack Mode Features

Time Attack Mode gives you the opportunity to defeat the bosses again. There is no other content related to this mode. When starting a boss fight in this mode, Adol receives relevant gear and stats. These are provided by the game and they are enough to defeat the boss.

Two options are available. You can select individual bosses or you can try the Boss Rush challenge. The latter pits you against all the bosses in succession. Should you die in Boss Rush mode, you start over from the current boss. No unused consumables or other items carry over between bosses. You should make use of them all. Another good news is that your HP refreshes at the start of each boss fight. The reward for completing Boss Rush on Nightmare is the Adol the All-Crusher trophy.

Time Attack Mode Score

The Time Attack timer measures how fast you are at beating bosses. Naturally, you will want to defeat the enemy as soon as possible to obtain a good score. Dying in a boss fight affects your score. When you are defeated, the elapsed time is added to the timer when you start over, increasing your final score.

You will die a couple of times, especially when facing the most challenging Ys the Oath in Felghana boss.

Berhardt, the Secret Boss

Those looking for a difficult encounter are invited to have a go at Berhardt. This character is not a boss on normal mode. He can only be unlocked in Time Attack Mode. To have access to this fight, you need to complete the Boss Rush challenge on Nightmare. This won’t affect the fight. Berhardt has only one difficulty level: insanely hard. The boss has 9999 HP and hits like a truck. The rewards for completing this challenge are a special illustration and the coveted Hardt Laid Bare missable trophy.
