This page will be mainly focusing on the various companion character and party outcome dialogue that occurs during the Astarion Romance Scene
The dialogue will include everything that is presented as a dialogue option, this also includes dialogue that occurs when you fail and win a die/dice roll too.
The page is currently done with only the Early Access currently being available, thus everything is subject to change. I will however, change this page to properly match the dialogue scene when the full version is released. For now enjoy what is said during the particular Early Access patch.
Anyway let us begin!
(NOTE: You may need to side with the tieflings in order to trigger these, unconfirmed?. Also, Astarion can romance both male and female characters)
(NOTE: This was all taken from the Early Access phase of the game)
You can check out my other pages on the various companion and party dialogue below
MORE:
- SCENE DIALOGUE: Astarion Romance
- HOW TO UNLOCK: In order to unlock the Astarion romance scene. You simply need to side with the Tiefling Refugees, then at the celebration party speak to Astarion. Only the dialogue option ‘Knowing You, it probably will‘ will initiate his romance

INTRODUCTION 1
ASTARION (Holding a bottle of wine)
- You know, I never pictured myself as a hero
- Never thought I’d be the one they toast for saving so many lives. And now that I’m here…
- I hate it. This is awful (Proceeds to take a drink)
PLAYER CHARACTER:
You did a good thing. Suck it up and enjoy yourself
ASTARION:
Enjoy myself? There’s a worm in my brain. I’m surrounded by idiots, and all I’ve got to drink is wine that tastes like vinegar.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Relax, all your problems will still be there in the morning
ASTARION:
- That means I have to survive tonight. And this party.
- All I want is a little fun. Is that so much to ask?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
And what’s your idea of ‘a little fun’?
ASTARION:
- By the Hells, Sex, my dear. A night of passion
- Let’s wait until things quieten down. Once the others are asleep, we’ll find each other
PLAYER CHARACTER:
All right, let’s do it. I’ll see you later.
ASTERION:
- Indeed you will, my love. Indeed you will.
- You’re eager, aren’t you? But we need to wait a little longer.
- Once everyone’s in their bedrolls, we’ll slip out of ours and find each other
NARRATOR:
- The buzz of celebration quiets to a smoothing hum as you approach your bunk
- Though you seek repose, you needn’t spend the night alone. With whom will you share a bed?
- Your heart skips a beat. What treasures might this night bestow?
(Romance Begins..)

ASTARION (Holding a bottle of wine)
- You know, I never pictured myself as a hero
- Never thought I’d be the one they toast for saving so many lives. And now that I’m here…
- I hate it. This is awful (Proceeds to take a drink)
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Really? Saving lives is awful?
ASTARION:
- We killed some goblins to save some tieflings. The tally of lives didn’t change much
- But what do I get for all my hard work? A pat on the head and vinegar for wine
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Whinge all you want – I’m having fun.
ASTARION:
- By all means, go and enjoy yourself.
- I’ll be here, waiting for the sunrise
(No Romance Triggers)

ASTARION (Holding a bottle of wine)
- You know, I never pictured myself as a hero
- Never thought I’d be the one they toast for saving so many lives. And now that I’m here…
- I hate it. This is awful (Proceeds to take a drink)
PLAYER CHARACTER:
It’s not that bad. Think of all the goblins you killed.
ASTARION:
- True. That was fun.
- Still, I would’ve liked more for my trouble than a pat on the head and vinegar for wine
PLAYER CHARACTER:
True, the goblins would have thrown a wilder party.
ASTARION:
I’m just looking for a little more excitement. A little more fun.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
That had better not mean ‘I want to kill something’
ASTARION:
- Nothing so dramatic. Just you and me and – well, maybe, a little death? Figuratively speaking
- Let’s wait until things quieten down. Once the others are asleep, we’ll find each other
PLAYER CHARACTER:
All right, let’s do it. I’ll see you later.
ASTERION:
- Indeed you will, my love. Indeed you will.
- (Romance Begins)

(PLAYER CHARACTER Proceeds To Take And Drink Out Of The Wine Bottle)
NARRATOR:
It’s a heavy, rich red – dry and sharp.
ASTARION:
- See what I mean? Awful
- All I want is a little fun. Is that so much to ask?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
We could have fun? We could spend some ‘quality time’ together
ASTARION:
- I’m flattered, but I think not. It’s not you, you understand, it’s me.
- I have standards
(No Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 5
ASTARION:
- All I want is a little fun. Is that so much to ask?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Knowing you, it probably is.
ASTARION:
- Don’t be so sour. I like a good time as much as anyone
- You know, we could always make our own entertainment, darling. Get a little closer, so to speak.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I’d rather bed a goblin, darling.
(Astarion – Disapproves)
ASTARION:
- You are an insolent little pup, aren’t you?
- But have it your way. I’m happy to entertain myself.
(No Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 6
ASTARION:
- You know, we could always make our own entertainment, darling. Get a little closer, so to speak.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
No, absolutely not.
(Astarion – Disapproves)
ASTARION:
- And here I mistook you for someone with taste. A pity.
- But have it your way. I’m happy to entertain myself.
(No Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 7
ASTARION:
- You know, we could always make our own entertainment, darling. Get a little closer, so to speak.

Maybe, if you say ‘Please’
ASTARION:
What?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Say ‘please’ (Persuasion Die Roll)
ASTARION: (If the Die Roll Failed)
- You are an insolent little pup, aren’t you?
- But have it your way. I’m happy to entertain myself.
ASTARION: (If the Die Roll Succeeded)
Please
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Good boy! Let’s get together tonight.
ASTARION:
Cheeky little pup. I’ll see you later
(Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 8
ASTARION: (If the Die Roll Succeeded)
Please
PLAYER CHARACTER:
No
(Astarion – Disapproves)
ASTARION:
- You insolent little
- Fine. Enjoy your night with whatever beast will have you
(No Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 9
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Maybe, if you say ‘Please’
ASTARION:
What?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I’m kidding. Once everyone’s asleep, I’ll find you and we can have some fun
(Astarion – Approves)
ASTARION:
Cheeky. I’ll see you then
(Romance Triggered)
INTRODUCTION 10
ASTARION:
- You know, we could always make our own entertainment, darling. Get a little closer, so to speak.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I’m not sure. Let me get back to you
ASTARION:
All right, but don’t take too long. You’re not the only tasty morsel around here
(Romance Pending)

(The 2 meet up once again)
INTRODUCTION 1
ASTARION:
- There you are. I’ve been waiting.
- Waiting since the moment I set eyes on you
- Waiting to have you
PLAYER CHARACTER:
You don’t have me yet
ASTARION:
- Don’t I? You’re here. And I don’t think you want to talk
- I think you want to be known. To be tasted.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
- And what do you want?
ASTARION
- What do any of us want? Pleasure.
- Yours. Mine. Our collective ecstasy
- That’s what you want, isn’t it? To lose yourself in me
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Nods
ASTARION:
I thought so.
INTRODUCTION 2
ASTARION:
- There you are. I’ve been waiting.
- Waiting since the moment I set eyes on you
- Waiting to have you
(Player Character Kisses Astarion, Remains Silent)
INTRODUCTION 3
ASTARION:
- Don’t I? You’re here. And I don’t think you want to talk
- I think you want to be known. To be tasted.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Try to ‘taste’ me and I’ll kill you where you stand
ASTARION:
- This isn’t about hunger. It’s about pleasure
- Yours. Mine. Our collective ecstasy
- That’s what you want, isn’t it? To lose yourself in me
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I want to have fun – that’s it.
ASTARION:
Then let’s have some fun

INTRODUCTION 1
NARRATOR:
His skin is cool to the touch, his kiss bracing. You lean in and he pulls you closer
(Player Character Relaxes – Option)
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Interesting scars. Where’d you get them?
ASTARION:
- It’s a poem. A gift from my old master, Cazador. He considered himself quite the artist and used his slaves as a canvas.
- He composed and carved that one over the course of a night. He made a lot of revisions as he went.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
What does it say?
ASTARION:
- I don’t know, it’s not like I can look in a mirror and see
- Anyway enough pillow talk. Let’s go, before the tieflings drag us into another mess
INTRODUCTION 2
NARRATOR:
His skin is cool to the touch, his kiss bracing. You lean in and he pulls you closer
(Player Character Bares Neck, Inviting Him)
(Astarion – Approves)
(Shadowheart – Disapproves)
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Not staying for a cuddle?
ASTARION:
You sleep light. I though you’d be exhausted after last night.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
You weren’t that good
ASTARION:
- How dare you – I’m a consummate lover
- I was holding back, if anything. Worried that I might..lose control
- Delicious as you were, I didn’t want to go too far.
- Now, shall we get on? I want to go before anyone else thanks me for saving their tails
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I wanted to ask you about your scars first.
Can I see?
ASTARION:
- You’ve seen enough already.
- And if I can’t see it, you certainly can’t
PLAYER CHARACTER:
You’ve never seen it?
ASTARION:
- Well I can’t just check in a mirror, can I?
- It doesn’t matter anyway. Whatever the bastard wrote, it won’t change anything he did to me
- Now let’s go, before I regret my restraint last night
INTRODUCTION 3
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Keep those teeth away from me!
ASTARION:
- I wasn’t going to bite you. I’m here because I thought we’d have a little fun.
- But if you don’t trust me, then I guess even that’s off the table
INTRODUCTION 4
ASTARION:
You sleep light. I though you’d be exhausted after last night.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
- Did you enjoy it? It felt like you weren’t fully there last night.
ASTERION
- I was holding back a little, it’s true. I didn’t want to lose control
- Now, shall we get on? I want to go before anyone else thanks me for saving their tails
INTRODUCTION 5
ASTARION:
You sleep light. I though you’d be exhausted after last night.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I could always go again
ASTARION:
- Tempting, but this might not be the time or the place.
- Now, shall we get on? I want to go before anyone else thanks me for saving their tails
INTRODUCTION 6
ASTARION:
He composed and carved that one over the course of a night. He made a lot of revisions as he went.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Is it a good poem, at least?
ASTARION:
- I don’t know. I never asked for a reading and it’s not like I can just peek in a mirror to see.
- Now let’s go, before I regret my restraint last night
COMPANION REACTIONS
GALE:
Thank you
PLAYER CHARACTER:
What for?
GALE:
- I’m glad you sought me out. Amid all this merriment I wasn’t sure we’d have a chance to speak this evening
- More’s the pity you’ve already found someone else to make merry with, just the two of you
- He has a certain charm about him, Astarion. Then again, so does a tiger when it purrs.
- Far be it for me of course, to question your tastes.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Do I detect a hint of jealousy?
GALE:
- Jealousy is in the eye of the beholder. Or something along those lines, the wine might be befuddling me a smidge.
- As they say in Waterdeep; In wine there is truth.
- That is usually followed by; In water there is good sense.
- Good sense will have to wait till the morrow
SHADOWHEART:
- Everyone seems to be in high spirits
- I saw you with Asterion. You two looked..cosy
- Far be it from me to judge. Blood must still be running a little hot after everything.
WYLL:
- There he is – the man himself. Let us raise a glass!
- To freedom from tyranny! May we hew a clear path for the downtrodden to travel
- To you – a legend in the making
- And to you and Asterion. May your stars burn ever bright
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Are you jealous?
WYLL:
And if I were?
PLAYER CHARACTER:
I’d be flattered, honestly.
WYLL:
Consider me jealous as a sisterless hag, then.
- I have seen the kith’raki tear a screaming neogi’s legs from it’s belly to fashion into blades.
- Yet they could not match your nerve today. It was enough to drive me to madness.
- A pity for us you have promised your body to Asterion.
- I hope for your sake he doesn’t come too near your neck.
PLAYER CHARACTER:
Perhaps we could get to know each other another time
LAE’ZEL:
- Perhaps
- Perhaps not
- I will take pleasure when I wish, and from whom I wish. Wyll looks particularly tempting tonight.
- One day, fortune may favour you.
(UPDATE: As seen in the above video, new dialogue shows that the scars on Astarion’s back is written in Infernal. The devil’s language)
