Ambush Interrupted is an Assassins Creed Shadows side quest that requires you to assist the Kashiwara villagers. Completing this side quest will unlock The Ronin Trophy. Let’s see what you must do to complete this mission!
How to Start Ambush Interrupted
This side quest becomes available in Act 2. You must play as Yasuke to start and complete the mission. If you are playing with Naoe, the game will let you know that you must switch characters. Travel to the Nabari Wilds in Iga to begin the quest.
You will meet Ibuki in Kashiwara Village, south of Hijiyama Fort. Interact with Ibuki and choose the “I have changed” dialogue option. He will react positively to your answer. Ibuki explains that he is helping the villagers stand up against Nakatomi. The quest starts when your conversation with Ibuki is interrupted by Nakatomi’s soldiers.
How to Complete Ambush Interrupted
To complete the quest, you need to help Ibuki with killing the soldiers who are invading Kashiwara Village. The hostile group consists of melee and ranged enemies. They are not difficult to defeat, however, they might overwhelm you.
Chances are that a patrol will come by at the same time, giving you more enemies to take down. The Guardians pose a challenge, but you should be able to defeat them without much trouble.
Talk to Ibuki
Once you have defeated the soldiers, talk to Ibuki. A cutscene featuring two angry villagers will play. Ibuki must settle the dispute and he wants to know your opinion. Pick the “I would forgive him” line to please Ibuki. The villagers will leave after the conflict ends.
Yasuke formally introduces himself and you have the chance to talk to him some more. Shortly after, the side quest ends and you unlock the Ronin trophy. However, this is not the last time you see Ibuki. You can complete two more follow-up quests for him, Homecoming and Putting Down Roots. He becomes a recruit and, later on, a romance option.
