This Romance Rin guide shows what you must do to unlock the special cutscene with Rin in Assassins Creed Shadows. The romance option is only available when you play as Yasuke. Let’s see what you must do to get to know Rin!
How to Romance Rin In Assassins Creed Shadows
You meet Rin for the first time in Gobo, Kii where she is helping the villagers fight the bandits. To unlock the romance scene, you need to complete several quests for Rin and choose specific dialogue options.
The Winter Raiders
This side mission unlocks Rin’s quest line. To start the quest, head to Gobo in the southern part of the Kii region.
Meet Rin and talk to the village elder. Yasuke learns that the bandits are raiding the village each winter and Rin has decided to help them. Your task is to kill five raiders. You don’t have to complete this quest in order to unlock Rin’s romance and there are no specific dialogue options you need to choose.
Romance Rin – Arrow Strike
Travel to the Mount Omori Hut in Kumano Sanzan, Kii where you will meet Rin for the second time.
During the first conversation, you must choose the “Let me help you clean” option. You then need to show Rin your archery skills by shooting five targets. Complete this task and choose the “It wasn’t my archery you were testing” option when talking to her.
War Horse
The third quest becomes available after you complete Arrow Strike. Wait for the next season and go to the Mount Omori Hut to meet Rin again. This time, you need to assist her with finding a horse.
Return to the village and then go to the waterfall. During the conversation at the waterfall, pick the “You excel at everything you try” option.
Ride Into Town
The last quest becomes available after you complete War Horse. Wait for the seasonal change and return to Rin’s hut in Kumano Sanzan. As you approach the hut, you will see Rin in an altercation with some bandits. You can help or wait for her to defeat them on her own. Follow Rin and race her. It doesn’t matter if you win the race or not.
During the conversation with the merchant, pick the “Plum onigiri, please” option. Follow Rin around town and pick the “I want to draw a picture of you” option next. You will have one more conversation with Rin on the bridge. Pick the “I would like to kiss you” option to witness the special cutscene.
