In Assassins Creed Shadows there are many sides quests you can attempt that introduce you to some interesting characters, some of which you can have a romance with! Mayu’s Offering introduces you to the character of Mayu. Which tasks you on a long exploration hike to visit the numerous Jizo Statues.
This quest is a bit of a long one so you may want to complete it over a period of time rather than all at once.
How to Start Mayu’s Offering In Assassins Creed Shadows
This quest can be found in Yamato near the Asuka Rocks Basin. you’ll see the marker on the map so it’s impossible to miss. Since this quest is only for Naoe, make sure you are playing as her. Talk to Mayu and then you’ll be given the large task of praying at all 69 Jizo statues across the map.
They can be found at roadsides, often at crossroads. It might be difficult to find them so do try zooming in on the map to see them. Also try to scout out the numerous eagle fast travel markers, which can help locate any nearby useful locations and land marks.
Finishing the Quest (With a Side of Romance)
Once you find all the statues, you can return to Mayu who will give you 1100 XP and 60 minerals. But there’s also something else! You can have a brief romance with Mayu.
There are three attempts to further along the romance with Mayu during this quest. Pick these three dialogues options:
- You can follow your own path.
- I learned to follow my own intuition.
- Not before I kiss you.
This will lead to Naoe and Mayu sharing a kiss. Sadly, this is the end of the romance, but it is a nice end to a very time-consuming quest. It’s one of the shorter romances in the game but it doesn’t make it any less special!
