Subnautica 2 Lithium is an important crafting resource. You will need it to make Plasteel Ingots and the Portable Oxygen Generator.
Let’s see where you must go to harvest Lithium!
Where to Find Subnautica 2 Lithium
Lithium nodes appear as rocks with a purple base and yellow spikes. Unlike other minerals, Lithium cannot be harvested with your bare hands. You will need a Sonic Resonator tool to break the Lithium nodes.
Lithium Farming Locations
There are two locations where you can find Lithium. The first location is closer to the Lifepod, but more dangerous. Make sure to craft the Tadpole submarine and equip it with the deep dive module before visiting the second location.
Location 1

From the Lifepod, head south and continue until you reach the ledge. Dive to about 70 meters and keep going towards the shipwreck. Pass the wreck and turn west to spot the giant clam and the Lithium deposit inside its core. The pink tendons guard the deposit. If you touch them, you will receive poison damage. Be careful when using the Sonic Resonator to break the deposit. Position yourself in such a way that you don’t get knocked back into the tendons.
Location 2

Make sure to unlock the Heat Tolerance adaptation before visiting this location. From the Lifepod, head east and keep going until you get the Heat Danger warning. Dive to 120 meters and you will start seeing the Subnautica 2 Lithium nodes on the walls. This is a great farming spot, so make sure to harvest all the nodes before returning to the Lifepod.
Don’t forget that once you have the Scanner Station up and running, you can use it to pinpoint the location of Lithium nodes within 300 meters. After you unlock the Metal Farm, you will be able to generate Lithium in your base.
