Finding Christof is a side quest in Ys the Oath in Felghana. It is a simple mission with an awesome reward, such as the Augite Brooch. Which increases the drop rate from defeated monsters and enemy opponents. However, you can easily miss this quest. Let’s see what you must do to complete it!
How to Begin the Finding Christof Side Quest
The reward from the quest is one of the best items you can find in the beginning of the game. The recommendation is to complete this quest as soon as you can. Just like the side quest Finding Elena, this mission has a tight timeframe. You can start the quest after completing the Zone of Lava. Don’t start the Abandoned Mine part just yet, as the quest will become unavailable. Before going to the Abandoned Mine, make your way to Valestein Castle.
Go to the castle entrance, where you will meet Fran and Andre. They tell you about a missing kid and ask you to find him.
Finding Christof Walkthrough
Fran and Andre give you the mission and that’s it. They don’t have a clue where the child might be. It’s up to you to find the boy.
Where is Christof
Christof is in the last place you would expect to find a missing child. He went to follow his father to the Illburns Ruins.
So, make your way there and you will find him near the fast travel point. The next part of the mission is an escort task.
You have to make sure that Christof gets back to Valestein Castle safe and sound. The kid will follow Adol to the castle. His HP bar is short, he is a helpless child after all. He cannot take a hit, so do your best to protect him from attacking monsters.
The Ignis Bracelet proves to be a valuable accessory. Use it to defeat the monsters before they reach Christof. The Ignis Bracelet is a reward for killing Dularn when you first meet him in the Tigray Quarry.
Return to Valestein Castle to Collect the Reward for Finding Christof
After returning Christof to the castle, Adol is invited to meet the kid’s mother and sister. Elizabetha, Count McGuire’s wife and Christof’s mom, presents her thanks and rewards you for finding her son.
You obtain the Augite Brooch. This passive item increases the drop rates from monsters, meaning you have a higher chance of obtaining gold and Raval Ore. You will need 1000 Raval Ore to acquire the Raval Shield, so this reward will help you acquire the endgame set faster.
